Maggie Magpie

Adopted May 1, 2005. Margaret was very skittish and scared and we were told that she had had kittens shortly before she arrived at paws.  The kittens were not located. She also had injuries and nicks on her ear and a damaged toe and nail. After knowing her, I imagine that if she had to, she would fight hard to save her kitties from anything. She is still a protector.

Margaret became known as Maggie. Which was just too short, so I started calling her Maggie Magpie so that I cold sing to her and help her learn her new name.  It worked.  We also call her Miss Pie, or The Pie, and sometimes Mags for short. She always comes when I call her, especially fast if I am in the kitchen where the cheese is stored.

03/17/2007 Maggie has become a very important part of our household.  She enjoys communicating and is always ready to let you know what she thinks. Her favorite things include: walking in front of my computer monitor, licking the shower water, hiding mices in the bathtub drain after removing the drain strainer, being too fast for the laser pointer (which now bores her), taunting Rocky, sleeping in the inbox, monitoring human activity, sleeping in sunny spots, being a personal alarm clock with exceptionally loud "in face" purring or tail greetings.
