In March of 2007 we used our winning tickets to visit San Diego.  We had three days to cram in everything that we wanted to see and do.  We visited the Zoo and Sea World.  We were also told to have breakfast at the Mission Cafe and Coffeehouse.  Go for the breakfast, we did find a coffeehouse nearby (Kaffe) that was very quaint although the "locals" seemed to dissipate when we got there....

The resort (Bahia) that we stayed at was very nice.  I expected the "free stay" room, but we had about 700 square feet to relax in with double sinks, a large bedroom with TV, a full kitchen (although small), a living room with another TV and a fantastic unobstructed beachfront view.  We were able to sit on the patio in the lounge chairs and watch the marina and Bahia Belle. An unexpected treat at the Bahia, they have 2 rescued sea lions at the resort, feeding is at 9 for photo ops.

We were just about two miles from Seaworld which we visited on the middle day.  They have free beer (which I found strange), but then realized who sponsors the park... We got to see the Shamu's, and the dolphins, and buy expensive food.  I'm glad the tickets were free.

The Shamu's are show offs...

"Splash zones" are clearly marked, and plastic ponchos are available.  Most people seem to change their minds about getting wet, after they get wet.  The zone is not a you might get wet zone, it is a you will get wet, because they are going to get you wet.

Dolly the dolphin is the star of the show...
